Pauri Garhwal

Srinagar


30 kms. from Pauri situated on the bank of Alaknanda river, Srinagar was once the capital of the Garhwal Kings before the arrival of British. Even today, it is one of the biggest townships of the district and is the seat of the Garhwal University. It is located at the junction of roads from Kotdwar, Rishikesh, Tehri-Garhwal & Badrinath. In the ancient times, Srinagar was an important center for art & architecture.
