Dakpathar

Located at the foothills of Shivalibs. on the banbs of river Yamuna, Dabpathar is the newly developed recreation centre of GMVN. It is a tourist complex with spacious lawns and gardens with a full standard size swimming pool. where facilities for coaching are available.

Altitude : 790 mts. 

EXCURSIONS 

Water Sport Resort-Asan : 11 kms from Dabpathar, GMVN offers water sport facilities here which include water skiing, sailing, boating, bayabing, canoeing and hover craft ride. 

Kaisi : 8 bms. from Dakpathar enroute Chabrata on the banks of the confluence of two rivers. Tons & Yamuna. Here exists an Ashoban edict inscribed on a sizeable rocb and preserved bv the Archeological Survey of India. 

Labhamandal : Past Yamuna bridge, Labhamandal is 80 kms on Kalsi-Yamunotri road. Scattered here are hundreds of idols of archeological importance. According to a legend, the Kauravas made a shellac (Lakh) house here and conspired to burn the Pandavas alive. 

Poanta Saheb : 16 kms from Dakpathar across the Yamuna river is Poanta Saheb. Here on the Bank of Yamuna river is the Gurudwara of Guru Govind Singhji. Devotees and tourists come here in large numbers to worship and see the beauty of the place.

Rail : Nearest railhead is Dehradun, 45 kms. 10 kms from Herbetpur & 13 kms from Asan Barrage
