Chila

Chila wildlife sanctuary, a heaven for animal watchers is just 8 kms from Hardwar and 21 kms from Rishikesh. Located on the banks of the Ganga river in the heart of Shivalik hills. Chila is a part of the famous Rajaji National Park. The fauna species include elephants. spotted deer. stag deer. blue bull. fox. porcupine, jungle fowls and peacocks etc. Besides these, migratory birds are also seen on the banks of river Ganga.  

Season        : Round the year 
Attractions : Wild animal/bird watching and photography on elephant back. Pleasure walks in the jungle. Picnic at Chila beach (1.5 kms). 

EXCURSIONS 

Hardwar : Perched on the edge of time along the banks of the holy river Ganga, Hardwar, the foremost on a traditional Hindu pilgrms itinerary, is just 8 kms from Chila. 

Rishikesh : Avisit to the great pilgrim centre of Rishifeesh (21 kms from Chila) which is located on the banfes of holy Ganga. amidst tranquil surroundings is a highly rejuvenating experience for both the nature lover and the spiritually guided mind. 
Kaudlyala: The rafter's camp developed by GMVN is just 62 kms frorn Chila. It provides an excellent opportunity for river rafting and water sports.

Rail : Nearest railhead is Hardwar. 8 kms. Rishikesh. 21 kms. 
 
Road : Well connected by a motorable road - Hardwar (8 kms) Rishifeesh (21 kms) & Delhi (208 kms)
