Asan Barrage

Water sports resort Asan Barrage is only 43 bms away from Dehradun, on Dehradun - Chandigarh - Shimla highway, with water sports facilities libe water sbiing, sailing, boating. rowing, bayabing. canoeing. etc. There are also hovercrafts and power boats. For wildlife lovers there is an added bonus during winter months, for migratory birds can be sighted in the vicinity.

Altitude : 790 mts. 

EXCURSIONS

Dahpathar : 14 kms from Asan Barrage is Dakpathar, an aquatic complex with a swimming pool, located at the foothills of Shiaalik hills and on the banks of river Yamuna. The Tourist Bungalow here is also an ideal resort in winters. 

Kaisi : (22 kms) from Asan Barrage. 6 kms from Dakpathar, enroute Chakarrata on the confluence point of river Tons and Yamuna, stands still Kaisi. Playing host to an Ashokan edict on a rock and preserved by the Archaelogical Survey of India.
